Link between sport and dementia – ‘brain bank’ of footballers

Lime’s serious and catastrophic injury specialist, Steven Baylis, provides his comments on a recent report, on 11 November 2017, in The Telegraph about the link that has been found between sport and dementia.  Research shows that repeated blows to the head over a prolonged period can cause dementia and the families of British footballers have agreed to donate the brains of their loved ones to create a bank to further the evidence available.
